The Vacation

Ever need a book that you could read even with constant interruptions? The Vacation is such a book. Each chapter is 2-3 pages, so it’s great for the subway, waiting rooms or anytime you need to get away for a few minutes.

The story takes place at a hostel in Venice Beach. Threads from various characters are woven as guest check in and out. We get back stories, coincidences and some criminal activities. Hat’s off to the author that the story never seems too complex.

Though set in California, the book has a British undertone. At least half of the characters are visiting from the U.K. and Ireland.

It’s a good beach and plane read as well.
